It's a clear gel and it smells like a pain relief ointment but it's tolerable, dries pretty slowly though, I must admit, and is very potent! Therefore after some trials I decided it's better to use it as the last step of my bed-time routine over the moisturizer and very precisely on the spots otherwise it might literally burn the skin. It's peeling like crazy next day but there will be no redness, itching or a visible scarring in the morning. 2-3 night applications and the red bump just vanishes.
