"This is the second time I’ve tried this product. The first time I was trying a lot of new things at the same time and my skin didn’t like it. Now I have a more settled regime I decided to give it another go and the results have been fantastic. It really comforting to know that this product not only protects my skin from the ageing effects of blue light, infrared light, air pollution and UV rays while still showing overall improvement but also supports repair after uv exposure. I love the moisturising properties, it leaves my skin soft and plump but without any whiteness or greasiness of some other sunscreen products. Will definitely continue using this product."

"I’ve started using Advanced Day Ultimate Protect for a week now and love the fact that it doesn’t have the sunscreen particular scent. It also blends well and it doesn’t leave any white marks. The only reason I gave 4 star is that in my skin I don’t think the product dries/is absorbed as quickly as I would expect and compared to the other products I’ve used in the past."

"This is the first medik8 product that I am disappointed by, but to be fair, I’m yet to find a sunscreen I’m happy with. It has a thicker consistency than others I’ve tried and is more creamy. I have normal skin but on the drier side and this cream leaves my face very greasy and caused a few spots. For an all in one cream and sunscreen I prefer the vitamin c one, but think I prefer a separate moisturiser and sun screen. It’s easy to apply and less messy due to the pump applicator. I’m going to try to use this consistently when the weather is less warm to see if it suits my skin better then and will amend my review if anything changes."

"So far so good. No white cast, leaves my skin almost dewy, no need for an additional facial oil. I’m happy 😃 The only con for me is the price point. As this is a spf moisturiser I will use this more than any other product during the day so will have to see if I can justify spending so much. Amazing product nonetheless"

"Bought this as I wanted to up my SPF from 30 to 50, now I am pregnant and want to avoid melasma. 2 months in and I’m a fan. Makes my skin glow, sometimes the glow can be a bit much but it usually calms down after 10/15 mins after putting it on. No brown marks on face 🙏 even though we’ve had so hot days, so fingers crossed it continues to do its job throughout summer :)"

I have rosacea and have been recommended to start using mineral based sunscreen due to reactions on my nose. Can you confirm whether this is mineral based?
Thanks for your question! While we don't currently offer a mineral sunscreen within the Medik8 range, we'd always recommend following the advice of your healthcare professional, particularly when managing rosacea or skin sensitivities.

Hi, is this a zinc oxide mineral based sun screen? If not, are you making one? Does it contain parabens, endocrine disruptors, GMOs, antibiotics?
Hi Fran, our Advanced Day Ultimate Protect SPF50 does not contain zinc-oxide, but instead, chemical UV filters. It does not contain any harmful ingredients you mentioned.

Hi Paige, Advanced Day Ultimate Protect SPF50 provides 5*/ PA ++++ which is the highest UVA rating. Sadly, no sunscreen is able to block 100% of UV rays from reaching the skin. Even a perfectly-applied SPF 50+ sunscreen only protects against ~98.3% of UVB rays.
Is this ok for oily skin? I’m 67.

If your skin tends to be on the oily side, we suggest our Advanced Day Total Protect, which offers a more lightweight texture.
